Our Yoga Alliance-certified Vinyasa +300-hour yoga teacher training (commonly referred to as 500-hour training) takes you on a deep, satisfying dive into all things yoga. Specially designed for people who have already completed a teacher training program, this advanced training will help you refine your existing skills, add new ones, and develop a richer and more fulfilling practice. The training is open to anyone who has completed a 200-hour teacher training. Our module based training breaks down into theee major modules: core anatomy, core philosophy, and core practicum at 95 hours each. You’ll have an additional 20 hours elective credits to chose from to round out your study. And the best part of all? You have two years to complete it.
In the +300HR course we'll cover the fundamentals of:
The yoga of relationships - Looking at asanas in detail with respective families or groupings including major injuries and joints.
The art of vinyasa sequencing - How to guide students through safe, appropriate, and logical progression of asanas
Yoga anatomy in depth - Not just anatomy. Understanding how anatomy, biomechanics, and physiology relate to yoga as well as how to keep your students healthy.
The myths of the asanas - Learn the myths that inspire the yoga asana giving the students the ability to color their classes with beloved stories of the deities, animals, and sages.
Dissecting the bhagavad gita - A close examination of the Bhagavad Gita with relation to enlightenment, liberation, and awakening. We will systematically study the Gita chapter by chapter.
Comparative yogic philosophy - This three-part conversation will weave comparative wisdom from Classical, Vedantic, and Buddhist traditions on topics like karma, maya, and dharma, as well as examine the traditional commentators’ understandings of the text
Teaching advanced practitioners - Practicing advanced postures and the sequences to get there is based on strong understanding of the foundational principles of the poses, adept physical skill, refined awareness of breath, and a balance of strength and softness.
Meditation & pranayama - Encouraging students to experience the transformational power of a regular asana, pranayama, and meditation practice.
Yin - Understanding the difference between Yin and Restorative.
Foundations of the Yoga Sutras - A true discussion and study of the first two chapters of the yoga sutras. Emphasis on how we can incorporate or interpret the sutras in a modern day environment.
Workshop Creation - With all the in depth knowledge presented to students can they then design, create, and market a specific workshop or posture intensive – final assignment for graduation.
